Overview
Subdecadence is the Lemurian form of the CCRU's card game, governed by the great lemur Tokhatto. Unlike Decadence (which targets sums of 10), Subdecadence pairs cards that sum to
9. It functions simultaneously as a game, a divination tool, and a system of time-sorcery.
The Deck
A standard 52-card deck stripped to 40 cards. Aces =1, 10s =0, and face cards are removed.

How to Play
1. Deal 5 cards face-up into the Atlantean Cross (Set One).
2. Draw 5 more cards (Set Two / Hand).
3. Pair hand cards with cross cards that sum to 9: (9+0), (8+1), (7+2), (6+3), (5+4).
4. Each pair scores
+difference (e.g. 7+2 = +5).
5. Each unpaired cross card scores
−its value.
6. If round score ≥ 0: continue — draw another set of 5, add to running total.
7. If round score < 0: game ends. Call the lemur whose mesh-number equals your final score.
Winning
The game ends when round score ≤ 0 or the deck is exhausted.
